MAINTENANCE MANAGER– NOVATEK LUSAKA (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

Planning, controlling, monitoring and providing the requisite technical guidance and instructions on repair, maintenance and construction engineering operations and activities of plant machinery/equipment. (Plans have to be recorded).
Ensuring Meetings are regularly held with subordinates to review progress of ongoing work, plant machinery/equipment efficiency.
Formulating strategies to accomplish pending jobs in the most efficient manner.
Planning and controlling the execution of preventative maintenance of plant machinery to minimize plant down time.
Conducting regular inspections with the current status of plant machinery and equipment and provides on the spot technical guidance to subordinates to optimize efficiency.
Designing specifications for modifications to plant machinery / equipment and spares.
Controlling all construction, repair & maintenance work undertaken by contractors and ensures strict adherence to manufacturing, engineering and safety standards and specifications.
Preparing the sectional budget for approval by management and monitor the expenditure to ensure management targets are met.
Approving and recommending deserving staff for promotion/training within and outside the country to enable them to acquire knowledge and skills required to meet the dictates of their responsibilities.
Regularly checking the Novatek Information Management System (NIMS) for compliance, updates and implement new documents for all procedures, standing instructions and forms for your department/ sub departments. (Factory /stores).
Responsible for maintaining of discipline in line with laid down procedure as outlined in the Disciplinary Code and Grievance Handling Procedure Handbook.

The Required Qualifications are:

Full Grade twelve (12) certificate with five (5) credits.
Bachelors’ Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
10 years previous work experience in the maintenance field.
Member of EIZ.
