About the Role – Machine Operator Positions

As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the smooth and safe operation of sachet water and liquid packaging machines. Your role will involve monitoring machine performance, adjusting settings such as temperature and filling volume, and ensuring every product meets stringent quality and hygiene standards. You will also play a critical role in minimizing downtime and material waste, supporting maintenance activities, and upholding Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Key Responsibilities for Machine Operator Jobs in Lusaka

• Operate sachet water and liquid packaging machines safely and efficiently
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments during production
• Ensure accurate filling, proper sealing, and consistent product quality
• Conduct routine inspections and perform basic troubleshooting of machinery
• Report any machine faults or breakdowns promptly to supervisors
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around production equipment
• Minimize material wastage and reduce production downtime
• Record production data, machine downtime, and quality checks accurately
• Follow all GMP, hygiene, and safety protocols rigorously
• Assist with machine servicing and maintenance as required

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Food Processing disciplines
• 1 to 2 years of experience operating sachet filling or packaging machines
• Experience in FMCG or food and water production environments is preferred
• Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining quality standards
• Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Understanding of hygiene and safety standards in a production setting
