Job description
-Filling in trip details on the load register i.e. fuels, loaded volumes and offloaded volumes.
-Making use of the companies real-time tracking software to monitor truck movement.
-Closure of completed trips in preparation of the next booking.
-Monitor truck documents and expiry date and adherence to transport laws, safety standards and company policies.
-Receiving proof of delivery documents, scanning and emailing to client.
-Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in
safe working order and filling daily check sheet to submit to workshops.
-Complete any other duties assigned by the immediate HOD.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
-Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in the transportation and logistics field
-Good technical proficiency (familiarity with logistics software’s)
-Analytical, communication and organisational skills
-Qualification in the logistics field would be an added advantage.
