Role Overview – Transport and Logistics Coordinator

As a Transport and Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing daily transport operations to guarantee efficient and cost-effective delivery of goods. This role demands excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication abilities, especially within a cross-border logistics framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport operations and delivery schedules to optimize efficiency.
• Liaise effectively with drivers, clients, customs officials, and border authorities.
• Ensure compliance with all transport regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare, verify, and manage logistics documentation and operational reports.
• Optimize transport routes and monitor fuel consumption for cost savings.
• Collaborate with fleet supervisors and external partners, including those in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
• Address and resolve operational delays and logistics challenges promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and performance metrics.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Transport and Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• Registered member of the Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics (CILT).
• Minimum of two years’ experience in transport and logistics coordination.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of French and Congo Swahili is an advantage.
• Competent computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and logistics tracking systems.
• Applicants must be between 26 and 35 years old.
