Position: Loan Officer

 

Location: Lusaka

 

Job Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Government of Zambia Loan portfolio and other payroll through aggressive selling of Kalene Loan products as per laid down policies and procedures while building and nurturing strong client relationships that ensure smooth operations. If you have a proven track record of meeting targets and committed to excellence in sales, we want to hear from you.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Aggressively market the Government of Zambia Loan products to all Civil Servants within and outside Lusaka.
Constantly monitor and manage the Portfolio ensuring excellent customer service, complaint handling and resolution within 24 Hours and escalating as per need.
Proactively manage all loans in arrears as well as written off accounts, ensuring a Portfolio at Risk rate of 5% or below.
Ensure compliance with Client eligibility criteria, Client documentation, archiving, reporting and any other audit requirements in line with the laid down Company policies and procedures.
Ensuring full Team support and collaboration especially the field sales and collections Clerks including other members of staff with the sole aim of achieving optimal operational efficiency and retain a high employee satisfaction rate of 90% or above.
Verify that all loan documentation is fully signed by customers and Kalene representatives before approval.
Provide general customer service to all walk in clients from both the Government of Zambia and private Payrolls.
Render support to other Departments and any other duties as assigned by your Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
Education: Grade 12 School Certificate with 5 credits including English and Mathematics
Diploma in a business-related course.

Work Experience: The candidate must have a minimum of 2 Years of Work experience in a similar role within the Microfinance sector.

Skills:

Basic knowledge in financial analysis with strong analytical skills in credit worthiness and financial viability of Loan applicants.

In-depth Knowledge of Lending policies, procedures and Zambian Financial regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with Loan Management Systems.

Result driven – Candidate must be able to meet or exceed targets in Loan origination and Debt collections.
