JOB ADVERTISEMENT

1. LEGAL OFFICER × 1 — NDOLA

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Draft and review commercial agreements.
  2. Ensure compliance with approved legal standards.
  3. Maintain statutory records and resolutions.
  4. Identify risks and escalate promptly.
  5. Advise the Company on legal, regulatory, and contractual matters.
  6. Support the review of agreements, compliance matters, and legal documentation.
  7. Assist with legal opinions and dispute handling.
  8. Attend to all court matters.
  9. Liaise with inspectors, enforcement officers, and Police.
  10. Liaise with external legal practitioners.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have:

  1. Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
  2. Strong legal drafting, interpretation, and report-writing ability.
  3. Diploma in Legislative Drafting.
  4. Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from a reputable university.
  5. Holder of a valid Practising Certificate.
  6. Member of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ).
  7. Completed both the Training and Bar Examination with ZIALE.
  8. Minimum of two (2) years’ work experience.
