Job description

1. Legal Officer x 1 – NDOLA

 Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Draft and review commercial agreement

2. Ensure compliance with approved legal standard

3. Maintain statutory records and resolutions

4. Identify risks and escalate promptly

5. Advise the Company of legal, regulatory, and contractual matters

6. Support review of agreements, compliance matters, and legal documentation

7. Assist with legal opinions, dispute handling

8. Attend to all Court Matters

9. Liaise with inspectors, enforcement officers, and Police

10. Liaise with external Legal practitioners

11. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications and Experience 

1. Full Grade 12 School Certificate

2. Strong legal drafting, interpretation, and report-writing ability

3. Diploma in Legislative Drafting

4. Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from a reputable University

5. Holder of a valid Practising Certificate

6. Member of the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ); and

7. Completed both the Training and Bar Examination with ZIALE

8. Minimum of two (2) years work experience
