Job Purpose

To deliver operational legal services by drafting, reviewing, and managing legal documentation, providing research-based legal advice, supporting litigation, and ensuring accurate legal records.

 

Key Responsibilities

Legal Documentation & Contracts

  • Draft and review commercial agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with approved legal standards.
  • Maintain centralized contract repository.

Legal Advisory & Research

  • Conduct legal research and draft opinions.
  • Interpret legislation affecting operations.

Litigation Support

  • Prepare pleadings, affidavits, and evidence files.
  • Liaise with courts and external counsel.

Corporate Secretarial & Records

  • Maintain statutory records and resolutions.
  • Support corporate governance requirements.

Risk & Compliance Support

  • Identify legal risks and escalate promptly.
  • Support compliance audits and investigations.

Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the Head Legal.

 

Authority

  • Recommend legal positions.
  • Issue routine legal correspondence.
  • Escalate risk issues.

 

Qualifications & Experience

  • LLB (mandatory).
  • Admission to the Bar (advantage). (1-2 years)
  • Valid practicing license.
