Job description
Breath of Heaven Children’s Ministries (BOHCM) is a registered NGO dedicated to meeting the holistic needs of orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia. Located in Barlastone Park, Lusaka, the Ministry operates a Children’s Village, a primary and secondary school, a medical clinic, and a community church. We are nearing completion of our Vocational Training College (VTC), which will provide quality post-secondary education to empower both our children and the surrounding community.
We are inviting applications from suitably qualified and committed individuals for the position of Part-Time Lecturer – General Hospitality at our Vocational Training College.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality theoretical and practical instruction, mentor learners in hospitality skills, and prepare students for both examinations and real-world industry demands.
Key Responsibilities
Teach General Hospitality in line with the approved curriculum
Prepare and deliver engaging theory and practical lessons
Assess, record, and report on student performance
Guide learners in hospitality ethics, customer service, and professionalism
Ensure proper use and care of training facilities and equipment
Participate in departmental and institutional academic activities
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Diploma in Hotel Management or a related hospitality qualification
Valid teaching qualification or evidence of pedagogical training
Updated Teaching Council registration (where applicable)
Strong practical and instructional skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be a committed and practicing Christian
Added Advantage
Previous lecturing or teaching experience
Industry experience in hospitality or hotel management
Experience handling practical hospitality training
