The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) invites qualified and experienced Zambian nationals to apply for the position of Laboratory Analyst based at the Copperbelt Region Office in Kitwe. Position Overview
This full-time role is offered on a fixed-term contract basis for three years. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of petroleum products through rigorous laboratory testing and audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform testing of petroleum samples to verify compliance with established standards.
- Conduct depot quality audits and investigate complaints related to petroleum products.
- Maintain accurate laboratory sample databases and equipment maintenance records.
- Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated and that laboratory procedures remain current.
- Provide expert technical advice on analytical procedures and laboratory instrumentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate with at least five credits.
- Diploma in Laboratory Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific fields.
- A degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related sciences is advantageous.
- Between 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in laboratory analysis or a similar field.
- Verification of qualifications by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) is mandatory.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
