Educore Services is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and enthusiastic candidate to fill the role of a Kitchen As- sistant. The successful candidate will be based at Sentinel Kabitaka Boarding in Solwezi. The appointee will report to the Lead Cook/ Kitchen Manager and directly contribute to all areas of cooking and support all designated tasks.
This is a full-time position; the appointee should be ready to commence on 10th February 2025 or earlier.
Sentinel Kabitaka is part of the exciting and ambitious educational establishment in North-western Province catering to children from Nursery up to IGCSE level. The school delivers Zambian and Cambridge to IGCSE curriculum. The school which is a part of the Educore Services group of schools offers a rounded education and aims to be especially strong in not only academic achievement but sport, outdoor pursuits, and the performing arts.
Main Purpose of the Job
Be able to cook a variety of dishes, and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and organisation.
Enjoy collaborating as part of a team.

Qualifications Required
Must have a grade twelve certificate with clear passes in mathematics and english.
Diploma in food production or an equivalent.
Minimum two years work experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
Key Skills
The successful candidate should possess the following key skills:
Evidence of cooking and baking skills.
Must be able to plan and execute tasks with efficiency.
Must have knowledge of developing food menus.
Must have knowledge of food-pairing.
