About the Role – Key Account Manager Jobs in Kitwe

As a Key Account Manager at POLYTRA ZAMBIA, you will be responsible for maintaining strong partnerships with key clients, ensuring their satisfaction through efficient coordination of deliveries and logistics. You will act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, including operations, warehouse, and transport departments, to guarantee timely shipment tracking and issue resolution.

Your role will also involve negotiating contracts and service agreements to secure mutually beneficial terms, preparing detailed reports on account performance, and identifying new business opportunities to drive company growth. Additionally, you will monitor compliance with company policies and logistics procedures, oversee fleet performance and fuel usage where applicable, and manage payment follow-ups and account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients to foster long-term partnerships
• Coordinate transportation, delivery schedules, and logistics operations to meet client expectations
• Promptly address and resolve customer complaints and service issues
• Monitor and analyze client accounts to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements effectively
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery of goods
• Collaborate closely with operations, warehouse, and transport teams
• Prepare comprehensive reports on account status and logistics activities
• Identify potential business growth opportunities and new client prospects
• Ensure adherence to company policies and logistics procedures
• Monitor fuel consumption, transport efficiency, and fleet performance where relevant
• Follow up on payments, invoices, and account reconciliations

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or in a similar client-focused role
• Strong understanding of logistics and customer relationship management principles
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage key accounts and foster long-term business relationships
• Results-driven with the ability to work effectively under pressure
