Junior systems administrator

Responsibilities
• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system backups, updates, and patches.
• Provide technical support to end-users and resolve helpdesk tickets in a timely manner.
• Assist in the implementation of security measures to protect company data and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with senior administrators to design and implement IT solutions that meet business needs.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in system administration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 1-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in Helpdesk and Ticketing Systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Attention to detail.
