Job description
Are you passionate about automotive repair and eager to grow your career in a professional and technologically advanced workshop? Vroomotive Autobody is expanding our team and invites skilled Junior and Senior Automotive Mechanics to join our dynamic facility in Lusaka.
Positions Available:
Senior Automotive Mechanic – Asian Vehicle Specialist (1 vacancy)
Senior Automotive Mechanic – European Vehicle Specialist (1 vacancy)
Junior Automotive Mechanic (6 vacancies)
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on Asian vehicle brands (e.g., Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Mazda).
Lead repair projects involving modern Asian vehicles including hybrid and electric models.
Mentor junior mechanics on specific Asian vehicle technologies.
Collaborate with body repair teams and insurance assessors to coordinate mechanical repairs.
Maintain accurate service and repair documentation adhering to manufacturer and safety standards.
Senior Automotive Mechanic – European Vehicle Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on European vehicle brands (e.g., BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Volvo).
Lead repair projects involving complex European vehicle systems including advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
Mentor junior mechanics on European vehicle technology and standards.
Liaise with body repair teams and insurance assessors for integrated vehicle restoration.
Ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
Junior Automotive Mechanic – Key Responsibilities
Assist in routine maintenance, basic repairs, and component replacements under supervision.
Support senior mechanics with diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Maintain workshop cleanliness, tool organization, and efficient workflows.
Develop repair skills through ongoing training and practical experience.
Follow safety and quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Senior Mechanics:
Minimum 5 years’ experience specializing in automotive mechanical repairs for the assigned vehicle region (Asian or European).
Relevant trade certificate, diploma, or equivalent in automotive/mechanical engineering.
Proficient in vehicle diagnostics including computerized systems and ADAS calibration support.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring ability.
Junior Mechanics:
Trade certificate / diploma or ongoing apprenticeship in automotive mechanics preferred.
Some hands-on experience or internship beneficial but not mandatory.
Keen to learn and develop technical skills.
All Candidates:
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license is an advantage.
