JOB OPPORTUNITY – HYDROGEOLOGICAL TECHNICIAN
Company: First Quantum Minerals
Location: Kalumbila, North-Western Province
Job Type: Full-time
First Quantum Minerals is seeking a dedicated Hydrogeological Technician to support groundwater monitoring and hydrogeological operations within mining activities.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with field inspections, monitoring, and data collection
• Supervise drilling and borehole construction
• Conduct hydraulic testing and pit inspections
• Maintain borehole infrastructure and databases
• Support geophysical surveys and site operations
? Requirements
• Grade 12 Certificate
• Diploma in Water Engineering, Hydrology, or Mining (added advantage)
• Valid driver’s license
• Basic knowledge of safety and hydrogeological practices
• Good communication and organizational skills
? Skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
