About the IT Officer Role
Reporting directly to the Head of IT, the IT Officer will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the Firm’s IT systems. The successful candidate will oversee the IT infrastructure, ensure robust data backup and recovery processes, provide technical support to users, and assist assurance teams with IT controls testing during audit engagements. This position supports seamless and secure business operations across all PKF Zambia offices.
Key Responsibilities in IT Officer Jobs in Lusaka
- Manage and maintain the Firm’s IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Implement and monitor regular data backup, recovery, and protection procedures.
- Oversee cybersecurity measures and respond promptly to IT incidents to safeguard Firm assets.
- Provide timely technical support and resolve IT-related issues for users across the organization.
- Support assurance teams during audits by testing IT general controls and application controls, including user access, change management, backup, security, and system configurations.
- Maintain up-to-date system security, software patches, and antivirus protection.
- Ensure compliance with Firm policies and ISQM standards.
- Prepare comprehensive IT reports and maintain accurate documentation and inventories.
Qualifications and Experience Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Three to five years of relevant professional experience in IT roles.
- Professional IT certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience supporting IT audits, systems control testing, or assurance engagements will be an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of networks, servers, cybersecurity, and backup systems.
