Job description
Job Title: IELTS Tutor
Job Type: Part-time (flexible)
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
We are seeking an experienced IELTS Tutor to join our educational team and guide students to achieve high scores in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) exam.
Responsibilities:
– Design and deliver comprehensive IELTS lessons covering Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking modules.
– Create customised lesson plans and materials tailored to individual student needs and target band scores.
– Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses, then track progress through regular evaluations.
– Provide detailed feedback on practice tests and assignments to improve language proficiency and exam techniques.
– Prepare students for real exam conditions, including time management and stress handling strategies.
– Stay updated with the latest IELTS exam formats, question types, and assessment criteria.
– Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and progress reports.
Requirements:
– TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certification (or equivalent English teaching qualification).
– Minimum 2 years of experience teaching IELTS or general English, with proven track record of improving student band scores.
– Strong command of English (spoken and written) and excellent communication skills.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate student schedules.
– Passion for education and student success.
– Computer literacy for using online teaching resources and administrative software.
