Job description

ICT Teacher

Role Overview

St. Ignatius College is seeking a qualified and committed ICT Teacher to join our Secondary School. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality instruction in Information and Communication Technology, foster digital literacy, and support the holistic development of students in line with Jesuit educational values.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ICT lessons across secondary school levels.
Develop students’ skills in computer applications, programming, and digital literacy.
Assess, record, and report on student progress in accordance with school policies.
Integrate Jesuit values into teaching, promoting discipline, respect, and service.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ICT developments and incorporate them into teaching.
Support extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
Ensure safeguarding and child protection responsibilities are upheld at all times.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience in ICT or related subject.
Recognised teaching qualification and relevant ICT degree or degree
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Commitment to student-cantered learning.
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
