Key Responsibilities for Human Resources Officer Jobs in Chingola Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives to meet departmental goals. Assist HR Business Partners (HRBPs) by preparing for key meetings as directed by the HR Manager. Coordinate recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and conducting new hire inductions. Maintain a weekly tracker of outstanding HR issues and ensure timely resolution in collaboration with HRBPs. Manage and update records of active and inactive employees accurately. Support disciplinary procedures and handle driver grievance matters alongside HRBPs. Participate in promotion and probation assessments to evaluate employee performance and quality of hire. Issue contract renewals for drivers and depot employees in a timely manner. File and organize HR correspondence and documentation systematically. Conduct exit interviews and ensure deactivation of former employees from all company communication platforms. Maintain registers of current HR matters and compile monthly disciplinary statistics and reports. Support operational HR-related tasks such as managing sickness, leave, and absenteeism. Ensure probationary reviews comply with employment laws and company regulations. Prepare forecasts for contract renewals and new recruitment for managerial review and director approval. Safeguard employee records, ensuring secure storage and compliance with data protection regulations. Conduct regular audits of physical and digital employee files to maintain accuracy and completeness. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of a Grade 12 school certificate. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification. At least three years of relevant experience in a similar HR role. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees and management.
