Job description
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resource Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of proven HR experience and will play a key role in managing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. This position requires a proactive professional who can balance administrative responsibilities with strategic HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases in compliance with company policies and labor regulations
- Support performance management systems, including appraisals and employee development plans
- Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary procedures with professionalism and confidentiality
- Assist in the design and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance staff skills and productivity
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and organizational standards
- Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and organizational culture development
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional certification (e.g., ZIHRM membership or equivalent) is an added advantage
- 3–5 years of hands-on HR experience in a corporate or organizational setting
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR information systems
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
