Job description

We are looking for a qualified Human Resource Officer to support operations at our manufacturing plant in Lusaka. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing employee relations, supporting shop floor workforce needs, and ensuring smooth coordination between HR and plant operations to maintain a productive and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Manage and resolve employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflicts in a fair and timely manner
  • Support the implementation of HR policies, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company standards
  • Conduct investigations and prepare reports on employee relations issues
  • Promote a positive work culture through employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist in performance management processes and employee development programs
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality at all times
  • Advise management on best HR practices and risk mitigation strategies

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong communication and report-writing abilities
  • High level of integrity and professionalism
  • Must be below the age of 30.
  • Must be registered with ZIHRM

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
