Job description
VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Position: Human Resource Manager (Local Zambia National)
Location: Lusaka, Zambia
We are recruiting a results-driven Human Resource Manager with proven experience in the Transport and Logistics, exposed to Oil Marketing Company (OMC) sector clientele. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, industrial relations, payroll administration, and involved in operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the HR function in line with labour laws, company policies, and industry standards.
Oversee employee and industrial relations, ensuring a harmonious workplace.
Administer payroll processing.
Collect and verify employee attendance records, including overtime, leave, fatigue management and absence tracking.
Manage and support remote teams and distributed workforces.
Create, update, and enforce HR policies in compliance with legal requirements and company culture.
Develop and execute performance management systems, including regular feedback and goal setting.
Ensure seamless execution of all HR operations.
Part of Team Lead in ICT-Audits.
Manage the Administration activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
Diploma/bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Transport & Logistics sector.
Proven expertise in ICT-Audits, employee relations, recruitment, industrial relations, and payroll accounting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Tungsten Payroll and GoFleet systems.
Paid-up member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) – mandatory.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
