About the Role: Human Resource Assistant Jobs in Lusaka
The Human Resource Assistant will play a vital role in implementing HR strategies and policies while coordinating with the Office Administrator. This position ensures that Solar Panda Zambia maintains a committed workforce through effective HR management and compliance with labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the full recruitment cycle from job posting to onboarding.
- Coordinate staff confirmation processes alongside relevant departmental heads.
- Manage and monitor annual leave plans in adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure all employees are properly registered with statutory bodies and that all statutory contributions are submitted promptly.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and secure staff files in compliance with legal standards.
- Oversee staff clearance procedures, ensuring timely settlement of dues.
- Collaborate closely with the HR Manager to support various HR functions.
- Partner with Line Managers to align HR strategies with business goals, including workforce planning and talent development.
- Identify training needs and work with Line Managers to implement appropriate development programs.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional HR projects and initiatives.
- Support change management efforts by facilitating communication and smooth transitions.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure full compliance with Zambian labour laws and company policies.
- Plan, organize, and coordinate employee engagement events.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field.
- At least five years of senior management experience in a similar HR role.
- Full membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resources Management (ZIHRM) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years’ proven experience in Human Resources or Administration.
- Strong knowledge of Zambian labour laws.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
