About the role:

Our client is seeking a HR Officer to provide comprehensive HR support across key HR functions, including HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of HR practices and employment principles, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage HR processes with minimal supervision.

This role is suited to a proactive and organized HR professional who can support day-to-day HR activities, contribute to process improvements, and partner with managers to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations

Manage and maintain accurate employee records, attendance data, payroll inputs, and HR documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant labor laws.
Support the implementation and improvement of HR processes and administrative systems.

Recruitment and Onboarding

Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including drafting job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and supporting hiring decisions.
Facilitate onboarding for new employees, ensuring a smooth integration into the organization.
Work closely with department managers to identify staffing needs and support workforce planning.

Employee Relations

Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries and provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
Support the resolution of employee concerns and workplace issues in a professional and timely manner.
Conduct exit interviews and support the analysis of employee feedback and turnover trends.

Training and Performance Support

Assist in identifying training needs and coordinating learning and development initiatives.
Support performance review processes and employee development activities.

Compliance and Reporting

Ensure HR practices comply with local labor laws and internal policies.
Prepare and maintain HR reports and documentation as required by management.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of employee information at all times.

HR Projects and Continuous Improvement

Contribute to HR initiatives such as employee engagement activities, policy updates, and process improvements.
Support the implementation of HR programs aligned with organizational goals.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant experience in an HR role, preferably in a generalist or HR officer capacity.
Good working knowledge of HR processes, recruitment, and employee relations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.

Compensation:

Salary range: K15,000 – K20,000 gross per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
