The HR Officer position at Mighty Fin involves a broad range of responsibilities including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and daily HR administration. This role is ideal for a proactive and organised professional eager to contribute to a fast-paced fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities for HR Officer Jobs in Lusaka

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and employee orientation activities.
  • Assist in sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates for open positions.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback cycles.
  • Support employee training and development initiatives.
  • Assist with payroll coordination, attendance tracking, and leave administration.
  • Promote employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Handle employee relations issues, disciplinary procedures, and resolve routine HR queries.
  • Ensure adherence to labour laws, company policies, and HR procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR policies and compliance standards.
  • Prepare HR reports and maintain efficient administrative processes.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or a related Social Science field.
  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Valid ZIHRM Certification.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Human Resources, Administration, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and HR Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and labour regulations.
  • Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding procedures.
  • Excellent organisational and records management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience within fintech, financial services, or other rapidly growing companies.
  • Familiarity with HR information systems and payroll software.
  • Exposure to performance management systems and training coordination.
  • Capability to support multiple business locations and competing priorities.

Compensation and Application Details

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary commensurate with experience. This is a full-time position based in Lusaka, Zambia.
