Job description

UNO Energies Zambia is a registered OMC and in the process of opening Fuel Stations across the Country. The company seeks to recruit a qualified individual for the role of HSEQ Manager.

Job Purpose
To oversee the company occupational Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) programs and its implementation, including compliance with health and safety regulations and enforcement of employee’s health and safety at work.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure effective implementation of health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems, aligning with company policies and Zambian statutory requirements.
Prepare and present HSEQ reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments and maintain safety standards across all UNO sites in Zambia.
Develop and review policies, processes, safety procedures, and work instructions to ensure they are up-to-date, relevant and adequate.
Ensure Inspection and assessment of all equipment for validity.
Ensure compliance for all operations with standards, regulations and statutory requirements
Implement safety programs that will improve the safety conditions and performance
Management of emergencies and all safety related incidents /accidents
Schedule and coordinate all necessary trainings in the areas of safety, health, environment and quality.
Ensure compliance with Industry regulators.

Requirements

Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and efficiently manage time
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
General knowledge of environmental protection, risk assessment, and incident reporting procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
3 traceable referees.

Qualifications

Full Grade 12 school certificate
Holder of a degree in Occupational Health and Safety from a reputable organization
Must have 3-5 years’ proven experience working in the Oil Marketing Industry
