Job description
Diagnose mechanical problems using combination of computerized and manual tools and fix them accurately, conduct repairs and routine maintenance of heavy-duty (Scania) buses according to dealership and factory specifications including gear box repairs and overhauling, test drive vehicles to verify successful repairs and standard, Carry out field repair assignments when required, maintain records of parts used and keep log of service history.
Job requirements: Grade 12 certificate, a Diploma in Heavy Duty Automotive Mechanics or equivalent, at least 5 years’ proven experience in heavy duty motor vehicle repairs, preferably in Scania engines. Membership with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) and Safety-conscious with knowledge of basic HSE standards
