Lolebezi Safari Camp invites passionate and skilled individuals to apply for the position of Boat Guide. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely in the stunning Lower Zambezi region, delivering exceptional water-based safari experiences. About the Boat Guide Role

As a Boat Guide at Lolebezi Safari Camp, you will report directly to the Head Guide and become an integral part of our guiding department. Your primary responsibility will be to provide guests with safe, informative, and enjoyable boating safaris while adhering strictly to all safety regulations and operational protocols. This full-time position demands a dedicated professional who can maintain the quality and reputation of our safari experiences.

Key Responsibilities for Boat Guide Jobs in Lower Zambezi

  • Deliver professional and efficient guiding services, ensuring guests have an outstanding experience.
  • Prepare guests’ hotboxes and cooler boxes following lodge protocols to guarantee guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance team to confirm that assigned boats are in optimal condition and promptly report any issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational standards of all boats.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head Guide and management on daily assignments and operational needs.
  • Support the training and development of Junior Guides within African Bush Camps (ABC).
  • Complete and submit all required documentation to the Head Guide in a timely manner.
  • Record wildlife sightings accurately in the sightings book.
  • Adhere strictly to the guides’ code of conduct, representing the company with professionalism.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Our ideal Boat Guide is energetic and enthusiastic, capable of creating engaging and memorable guest experiences. You should be articulate, confident, and comfortable communicating with guests from diverse backgrounds. A warm and personable demeanor is essential, alongside a strong knowledge of local wildlife, birdlife, aquatic ecosystems, and conservation practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Full Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Bedrock Boat-Guide Level certification.
  • Minimum of two years’ relevant experience, preferably on the Zambezi River.
