School Guidance Teacher Needed:

Tongabezi Trust School is an Independent, private trust school located on the outskirts of Livingstone, serving over 280 underprivileged children from Pre-School to Grade 9. Our mission is to provide inclusive, holistic, and high-quality education, skills development, and employment opportunities to the rural and vulnerable children and adults of the Simoonga community.

We seek the services of an enthusiastic, qualified and experienced person to take up an exciting job as the school guidance teacher.

Job purpose:

To provide a high-quality counselling service to students, teachers and parents experiencing a wide range of emotional problems and learning difficulties.
To provide support, guidance and advice to parents and the school.
To observe confidentiality and to support the school’s endeavour to provide life-changing counselling sessions to vulnerable children.
To contribute to the safeguarding and promoting of the welfare and personal care of the children and young people at Tujatane.

Qualifications and training:

Applicants must possess a diploma as a minimum qualification in Guidance and Counselling, Psychology, Counselling, or any related field.
A minimum of two years’ experience in practice.
A teaching qualification in Civic education as well as experience in a school will be added advantages.
Applicants should be registered with the Teaching Council of Zambia and the Zambia Counselling Council.
