Job description
Graduate Trainee – Assistant Manager
Location: Lusaka
Kalayim is seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Graduate Trainee – Assistant Manager to join our team. This role is designed for recent graduates with an interest in retail management and leadership. As a Graduate Trainee, you will assist in the day-to-day store operations and work closely with the Store Managers to gain hands-on experience in sales, customer service, and team management. The program aims to prepare you for a future managerial role within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the store’s sales performance and ensure sales targets are met.
Support in tracking and reporting store performance to meet company standards.
Help communicate goals and sales targets to the team, ensuring alignment.
Contribute to maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
Assist in resource allocation to ensure smooth store operations.
Learn to manage and oversee the store’s service performance in line with Kalayim’s values.
Support the protection and enhancement of Kalayim’s retail brand.
Assist in building and nurturing strong relationships with customers.
Participate in training programs and mentorship sessions to develop leadership skills.
Qualifications & Experience:
A Diploma or Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Grade 12 Certificate.
No prior work experience required, but relevant internship or part-time experience in retail is an advantage.
Strong interest in retail management and customer service.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive, energetic, and self-motivated individual with a passion for learning.
Leadership potential and a desire to grow within the retail industry.
