About the Role: Grader Operator Position in Solwezi

As a Grader Operator with JVChantete Earthworks Ltd, you will play a vital role in maintaining and improving site infrastructure. You will operate motor graders to grade and level roads, surfaces, and work areas, ensuring safe and efficient operations aligned with project requirements. This position demands attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and collaboration with site supervisors and fellow equipment operators.

Key Responsibilities for Grader Operator Jobs in Solwezi

  • Operate graders safely and efficiently according to operational guidelines.
  • Grade and level roads, work surfaces, and access areas to required specifications.
  • Maintain haul roads, drainage systems, and access routes to ensure smooth site operations.
  • Spread and level gravel, soil, and other construction materials as needed.
  • Perform daily pre-start inspections and promptly report any defects or equipment issues.
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance and ensure proper care of equipment.
  • Comply with all safety, health, and environmental standards and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate operational and inspection records for accountability and reporting.

  • Proficient in operating motor graders with a strong understanding of grading techniques.
  • Knowledgeable about road maintenance and grading level standards.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety regulations and environmental compliance.
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills to identify and address equipment issues.
