General Site Worker

Job description

Job Purpose

To work within the team to ensure a high standard of maintenance of the whole site of Pestalozzi premises ensuring that they are kept both neat and safe for the children, staff and visitors.

Responsibilities

Ensure the Village and surrounding are well-maintained at all times to include:

a.     Clean and maintain all assigned areas to acceptable standards which will be set by management.

b.     Ensure that tools are kept and safe for all to use and put them away after use.

c.      Maintain the lawns, flower beds and drainage channels.

d.     Report any faults or damages of property, or any problem, to the management immediately.

e.     To work in the hostels may also be requested when necessary.

f.       Perform a variety of general manual labour tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials.

g.     Assist with the setup and takedown of equipment and supplies for events.

h.     Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.

i.       Maintain a positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team

j.       Operate basic hand and power tools.

Must Have

Should have gardening experience at least for a minimum of two (2) years.
The job holder should have plumbing experience or must have interest in learning plumbing.
Note  : The post holder may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description for the post. The particular duties and responsibilities may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed
