Kalene Hills Fruit Company Limited (KHFCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Zambia Fruit Company under the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC), is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of General Manager. This role, based in Mwinilunga District, Northwestern Province, Zambia, offers a full-time leadership opportunity to drive the company’s strategic growth, operational excellence, and financial sustainability.

The General Manager will play a pivotal role in steering the company towards achieving its long-term objectives and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities for General Manager Jobs in Mwinilunga

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversee all company operations to align with business goals.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures across all departments including production, procurement, sales, finance, and human resources.
  • Drive operational efficiency, quality enhancement, and continuous innovation initiatives.
  • Ensure robust financial management, cost control, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the community.
  • Promote staff development, ethical standards, and effective performance management.
  • Prepare product and service development roadmaps for Board approval, focusing on customer-centric improvements.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Grade 12 Certificate with at least five (5) O-Level credits.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Production Management, Business Administration, Food Technology, or related discipline.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field is essential.
  • Professional membership with a relevant body is required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ professional experience, including at least five (5) years in senior management roles within manufacturing, agribusiness, or industrial operations.
