Job Title: General Worker (with Carpentry Experience)

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Location: Chongwe

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Purpose:

To maintain the cleanliness, safety, and general upkeep of company grounds and facilities while providing basic carpentry support when required. The role ensures that all outdoor areas are well-maintained and that minor repair or carpentry tasks are carried out efficiently to support smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform general groundskeeping duties, including cleaning, sweeping, watering plants, trimming lawns, and removing litter or debris.
Assist with routine maintenance of company property, fences, walkways, and outdoor structures.
Carry out minor carpentry work such as repairing doors, windows, shelves, tables, and other wooden fittings as assigned.
Support facility maintenance teams in carrying out light repair works and upkeep of buildings.
Safely operate hand tools, lawn equipment, and basic carpentry tools.
Report any maintenance or safety issues promptly to the supervisor.
Maintain proper care and storage of tools and equipment.
Assist in loading, offloading, and general labor tasks when required.
Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and environmental standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of a Grade 12 Certificate.
Certificate or practical experience in Carpentry or related trade is an added advantage.
At least 2 years of experience in general work, maintenance, or groundskeeping.
Basic understanding of carpentry tools and techniques.
Ability to perform physical labor and outdoor work under varying weather conditions.
