Job description

Key Responsibilities:

·       Monitor the health of all plants, trees, shrubs, and green spaces, ensuring proper watering, feeding, and fertilization.

·       Trim and shape trees and shrubs, mow lawns, weed gardens, and maintain walkways clear of debris and litter.

·       Plant and nurture new flowers, trees, and plants, maintaining their growth according to the lodge’s landscaping standards.

·       Use and maintain landscaping equipment safely, including mowers, trimmers, and gardening tools.

·       Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other plant treatments following health, safety, and environmental regulations.

·       Perform basic grounds maintenance such as grass cutting, leaf raking, emptying bins, and general upkeep of outdoor areas.

·       Maintain high standards of cleanliness and appearance for all outdoor guest areas.

·       Report any maintenance issues or plant health concerns to management promptly.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

·       Grade Twelve (12) Certificate with a credit or better in English and Mathematics.

·       Minimum 2 years’ experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or garden maintenance.

·       Certification in landscaping or horticulture is an added advantage.

·       Ability to work independently and reliably with minimal supervision.

·       Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining attractive gardens.

·       Knowledge of fertilizers, pesticides, and safe plant care practices.
