About the Forklift Operator Jobs in Kitwe and Related Roles

As part of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth handling and movement of materials. The positions require individuals with a strong safety mindset, technical proficiency, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, loaders, and weighbridge equipment safely and efficiently following company protocols and safety standards.
• Load, unload, transport, and position materials and equipment as directed.
• Perform daily pre-operational inspections and promptly report any faults or safety issues.
• Ensure proper handling and secure storage of goods to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain accurate records including equipment logs and weighbridge documentation.
• Comply with all occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist with general logistics and warehouse activities as assigned.

Candidate Requirements and Qualifications

• Valid Forklift Operator Certificate or License (mandatory for forklift operator applicants).
• Relevant qualifications and experience for Loader Operator or Weighbridge Operator roles.
• Minimum of two years’ proven experience in a similar position.
• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of occupational health and safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Demonstrated reliability, strong work ethic, and keen attention to detail.
