Key Responsibilities
1 R&D & Innovation
✓ Develop and standardize new product recipes
✓ Conduct laboratory trials & pilot production
✓ Improve product texture, taste, & shelf life
✓ Improve product SOPs & batch manufacturing sheets
✓ Prepare SOPs & batch manufacturing sheets
2 Industrial Scale-Up
✓ Convert lab-scale recipes to commercial production
✓ Set and validate processing parameters
✓ Optimize yield and minimize production waste
3 Regulatory Compliance (Zambia)
✓ Zambia Bureau of Standards
✓ Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency
✓ Ministry of Health
4 Food Safety & Hygiene
✓ Implement and maintain HACCP systems
✓ Ensure GMP compliance
✓ Identify raw material utilization & yield
5 Costing & Profitability
✓ Calculate detailed product costing
✓ Optimize Formulation cost
✓ Improve raw material utilization & yield
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
✓ Launch 3+ New Products
✓ Reduce Production Cost
✓ Zero Regulatory Non-Compliance
✓ Improve Production Yield
✓ Successful Scale-Up
Qualifications Required Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in: Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related fields based on context
Experience relevant experience in food production/R&D, though partially cut off in the visible text
