Job description

Company Profile: Chingola Resources Limited (CRL) is a mining company based in chingola, Coppebelt province. The company seeks to employ a fleet supervisor, who will act as a link between drivers, mechanics and management in order to ensure vehicles are safe, compliant and efficiently utilized.

Key Responsibilities;

  1. Maintenance Scheduling: Plan and prioritize maintenance and repairs, working with mechanics to address defects and ensure safety standards.
  2. Driver Supervision: Oversee driver performance, training, and compliance with company policies and government regulations.
  3. Fleet Operations Management: Coordinate vehicle assignments, monitor availability and ensure vehicles are operational and properly maintained.
  4. Breakdown and Emergency Response: Manage on-road vehicle failures, coordinate towing or roadside service, and arrange replacement vehicles to minimize operational disruption.
  5. Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all vehicles meet safety and regulatory requirements, maintain accurate records, and prepare for audits.
  6. Fleet Performance Analysis: Track fuel usage, analyse fleet data, and implement strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce operational costs

Requirements;

  1. Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
  2. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to coordinate between drivers, mechanics, and management
  3. Knowledge of fleet management software and compliance systems
  4. Attention to detail and commitment to safety and cost-effectiveness
  5. Experience in fleet management or transportation operations is highly preferred.
  6. Must have a grade twelve (12) certificate, qualifications in transport and logistics will be an added advantage.
