Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate financial accounts and management reports for central Business Units
Collect, organise, and analyse financial data to support strategic and operational decisions
Oversee the maintenance of comprehensive financial records in compliance with regulatory and internal standards
Manage working capital, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Provide financial guidance to business leaders and identify areas for cost optimisation and performance improvement
Ensure alignment with financial controls, compliance, and corporate governance policies
In Detail:
Manage the daily operations as the financial manager within applicable Business unit
Manage, control and maintain all costs in line with agreed upon financial budgets
Monitor compliance (standards, acts and regulations, policies, processes and systems)
Liaise with external and internal auditors in area of responsibility
Be involved in the strategic planning of key strategic projects within a Business unit level
Assist when required in developing financial management systems that minimize financial risks within company

Unitrans is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team and take responsibility for delivering accurate, timely, and actionable financial insights. This is a critical role focused on supporting central Business Units through sound financial management, reporting, and strategic input.
As the Finance Manager, you will lead the collection, organisation, analysis, and presentation of financial and management information. You’ll ensure the integrity of financial records, manage working capital effectively, and support decision-making across the business through data-driven reporting and financial insight.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum qualification: B.Com degree
Experience in a similar role: 6 years or more
What We’re Looking For:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CA(SA) or CIMA preferred)
Proven experience in financial management, reporting, and business partnering
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Proficiency in financial software and systems (e.g. SAP, Excel, ERP platforms)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate across teams
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work on deadlines
