Finance Officer

Job description

The Finance Officer is responsible for financial management, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficiency in financial operations. The role involves managing budgeting, financial transactions, cash flow, and statutory compliance, while providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. This position reports to the Senior Finance Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
Assist in budget preparation, execution, and variance analysis, providing recommendations.
Assist in external and internal audits, ensuring timely and accurate financial documentation.
Manage accounts payable, receivables, and supplier payments to maintain financial health.
Maintain financial records and ensure timely submission of required statutory and tax filings.
Provide financial insights and support to the Finance Manager for business decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Grade 12 Certificate with five (5) O Levels.
Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Affiliate membership (Graduate, Licentiate or Technician) with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in an accounting role.
