Job description

About the role
BURN is looking for a Finance and HR Officer who will hold a hybrid role that involves responsibilities related to both finance and human resources within an organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Support in collating data required for accounting and tax filing.
Ensure that all documents have the relevant approvals before forwarding for payment.
Maintain records of VAT invoices to support reporting to the revenue authority.
Ensure all supporting documentation (including tax-compliant invoices) is available and filed correctly.
Reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounts payables.
Reconciliation of B2C sales vs cash received and banked.
Reconciliation of stock flow report, sales report, and sales posted in the system.
Ensure that cash and cheques from sales are deposited promptly.
Petty cash management.
Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process when necessary.
Support with general tax, VAT and withholding tax filing.
Identify and address discrepancies on purchase invoices and receipts shared.
Bank agent
Support HR in the preparation of employee payroll, benefits, and compensation packages.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to Finance and HR.
Any other tasks as requested by the line manager and/or senior management.

Skills and Experience:

At least 3 years experience in a business environment at least 3 years in finance preferably the manufacturing industry.
Experience with payroll processing and HR Administration (Preferable).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations related to finance and HR.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
CPA or ACCA finalist or its equivalent.
Full-time position with standard business hours
May require occasional overtime or weekend work.
Office-based position with occasional travel to other company locations
