Mupika Sericulture & Silk Farm

LOCATION: FARM-BASED (45KM FROM MPIKA CBD) EMPLOYMENT TYPE: CONTRACT

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Supervise daily farm operations including crop production and field activities • Coordinate and monitor farm workers to ensure productivity and efficiency • Implement planting, irrigation, fertilization, and harvesting schedules • Ensure proper use, care, and maintenance of farm equipment and inputs • Monitor crop health and report any pest, disease, or production issues • Maintain accurate farm records (labour, inputs, yields, fuel usage, etc.) • Enforce health and safety standards on the farm • Report regularly to Farm Management on operational performance

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: • Certificate in Agriculture (minimum qualification) • At least 2 years’ work experience in a similar or more senior agricultural position • Practical knowledge of crop production and farm management practices • Ability to supervise and manage a team effectively • Good record-keeping and reporting skills • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a rural farm environment

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Willingness to be stationed at the farm (45km from CBD) • Accommodation may be provided (if applicable)
