Job description
A well Established Farm in Mkushi is looking for a Farm Manager to run its operations. The sucessful candidate should possess the following:
– Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a reputable university
– Minimum 10 years plus work experience in commercial farming in Zambia or in any african country. Must have experience with farm/agri management, admin, planning/budgeting, financial controlling etc.
Job Responsibilities
i) Monitor farm operations i.e. fertilizer application, spraying, planting, harvesting, labour, transport, irrigation etc
ii) Check wages and send biweekly reports to directors
iii) Crop monitoring/inspections
iv) Safeguarding operations against theft
v) Production planning/Budgeting and Variance Analysis
vi) Planning and Supervision Preventative maintenance on all farm equipment
vii) Working with supervisory team in place
viii) Purchasing/collecting of items required for the farm based on technical and commercial comparative analysis
ix) Dealing with issues related to labor
x) Working with online Purchasing, Receiving and Sale system
