Failure Analysis Engineer

Job description

What you would be expected to do:

Perform product and electronic component failure checks using appropriate diagnostic tools and methods.
Conduct regular field visits to collect, investigate, verify, and resolve customer complaints.
Maintain and update Zambia’s troubleshooting records, ensuring accuracy and consistency in after-sales service reports.
Assist in managing critical quality risks by deploying immediate mitigation actions locally.
Work with the service team to enhance troubleshooting processes for continuous improvement.
Provide qualification and failure check assistance to partners in case of claims.
Deliver training sessions and technical guidance to improve the team’s troubleshooting expertise and overall technical knowledge.

You might be a strong candidate if you:

Bachelor’s degree or above, major in engineering or equivalent applicable experience.
Proven experience in product failure checks or a similar technical role.
Strong knowledge of failure check techniques and tools.
Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and practices is a plus.
