Job description

We are looking for a factory supervisor to be based at our factory in 13 miles Lusaka.

Responsibilities and duties

Monitoring production levels to ensure targets are met.
Monitoring factory employees to ensure they are productive during working hours.
Inspecting the factory premises to ensure cleanliness and also occupational health and safety standards are met.
Consistently checking stock levels and report on any low stocks in time to avoid halting of production.
Coordinating deliveries to from the factory of raw materials and finished goods.
Keeping records of raw materials received, Tea produced and tea dispatched from the factory.
Effectively communicating with supervisors on a daily basis to give account of production and status of the factory.
Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
Assisting in screening and training new factory workers.
Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers.
Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
Motivating factory workers to continually achieve factory targets.

Knowledge and Skills

Should possess at least a diploma in production management or any related field.
Grade 12 certificate.
At least 4 years’ experience working in similar field.
Sound work ethic, consistent and excellent timekeeper.
Honest and trustworthy.
