EXTENSION OF CLOSING DATE FOR THE TENDER TO 6TH JUNE 2025

TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF WILDEBEEST, IMPALA, ZEBRA FOR SIOMA NGWEZI NATIONAL PARK

INTRODUCTION

Following the pre-bidding / clarifications meeting held virtually via Microsoft teams on 22nd May 2025, the prospective bidders present at this meeting requested for an opportunity to conduct a site visit to Sioma Ngwezi National Park to assess the current state of the proposed route to the IPZ (the designate place of delivery of the wildlife located in Sioma Ngwezi National Park).

In light of this request, WWF Zambia has:

Extended the closing date for the submission of bids for the wildlife supply and translocation tender to Friday, 6th of June 2025.
Set Monday 2nd June as the date for the site visit. All prospective bidders that are interested to undertake the site visit should meet at the WWF Zambia Office in Sesheke at 08:00hrs. The WWF Zambia Landscape Coordinator, Mr. Malumani Malumani will be on hand to support with the visit to Sioma as planned. Please note that:

(a) WWF Zambia will not bear any costs related to this travel

(b)    For interested bidders, please send an email confirming your attendance to nsilwimba@wwfzam.org

SUPPLY, CUPTURE AND DELIVERY OF IMPALA – AEPYCEROS MELAMPUS – HERDS

QTY – 100
SEX RATIO – 80% FEMALE – 20% MALE
DELIVERY LOCATION: SIOMA NGWEZI NATIONAL PARK IN SIOMA
DISTRICT – WESTERN PROVINCE

LOT 03:

SUPPLY, CAPTURE AND DELIVERY OF BURCHELL`S ZEBRA – EQUUS QUAGGA BURCHELLII – HERDS

QTY – 50
SEX RATIOS: 70% FEMALE – 30% MALE
DELIVERY LOCATION: SIOMA NGWEZI NATIONAL PARK IN SIOMA
DISTRICT – WESTERN PROVINCE

PRELIMINARY REQUIREMENTS 

Company profile with a full list of Directors
Certificate of Incorporation/ Registration issued by the Patents and Companies Registration Agency (PACRA)
Valid ZRA Tax clearance and compliance certificate
NAPSA compliance certificate
ZPPA registration
Trade references in relation to similar assignments.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Wildlife captures and translocations are highly specialized and technical operations. They carry with them a high degree of risk, both for the animals and for those undertaking the assignment. As such, they must be carried out with the utmost care and attention, to ensure the safe arrival of wildlife at its destination.

Service providers must: –

Be a Zambian registered and recognized wildlife capture and translocation company with a Zambian registered veterinary surgeon. CVs of the Veterinary Surgeon(s) must be submitted
Show proven record of accomplishment of successful live animal delivery in Zambia for at least five (05) years that is, trade references in relation to previous or similar assignments
Have capacity to supply wildlife species before 31st August 2025. In addition, the bidder must submit a commitment letter to WWF Zambia as evidence to deliver on this assignment in time for the deadline.
Proof sound liquidity of the firm, through annual reports or bank statements for the last five (5) months

Duration of the Assignment

The anticipated delivery period for all the Lots is within 6 -8 weeks after contract signing and receipt of the detailed capture and translocation plan

Commercial and Payment Terms

Delivery period: before 31st August 2025

The cost MUST include Disease Risk Assessment for each of the lots and must have a 30-Day Validity

Payments terms:

25% upon production of clear and practical capture and translocation plan
20% upon securing the capture and translocation permits, disease surveillance clearance certificates and satisfactory assessment of the capacity of the bidder to deliver
Final 55% within 2 weeks of successful delivery of the animals.
Payment will be processed through bank transfer into the account of the awarded company based on the schedule of payments disbursement as indicated above.

BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS:

Bid documents containing Technical and Financial aspects of this procurement must be submitted electronically via email to zcoprocurement@wwfzam.org   no later than Friday 6th June 2025 at Midnight with the email subject being SPECIALISED SERVICE: SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF WILDEBEEST, IMPALA AND ZEBRA.

A list of all bids received will be published on Friday 10th June 2025 through an email that will be circulated to all bidders
Bidders must scrutinize all the requirements and must ensure that ALL documents are submitted in PDF Format as a single merged document or either in ONE Zipped Folder to be compliant and responsive.  Additionally, bidders need to ensure that all the other Mandatory requirements as these will form the basis for the preliminary evaluation
Bids should specify the species and sub-species, as indicated in the Lots above, for the animals being supplied.
Bidders are free to apply for any of the Lot(s) they feel most competent to deliver.

WWF ZAMBIA COUNTRY OFFICE RETAINS THE RIGHT TO REVISE THE NUMBER OF ANIMALS UPWARDS OR DOWNWARDS BASED ON BUDGET
