EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
Architectural Services for Education Institution Building Projects
A prominent educational institution invites qualified and experienced architects or architectural firms to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for the provision of architectural drawing services for a series of upcoming development projects on its campus. These projects form part of a broader initiative to expand and modernize the institution’s infrastructure and include the design of essential academic and residential facilities.
Project Components Include:
Student Hostels
Lecture Theatre
Library
Multipurpose Laboratory Building
Classrooms
Restaurant
Scope of Work:
Development of concept, schematic and detailed architectural drawings
Preparation of construction-ready documentation
3D visualizations and presentation materials
Integration with structural, MEP, and civil engineering input
Adherence to local building codes and educational facility stastandarl
Periodic site engagement (if required)
Eligibility Criteria:
EOIs are invited from registered architects or architectural firms with proven experience in:
Designing educational or institutional buildings
Producing complete and compliant architectural documentation
Coordinating with engineering and construction teams
Managing complex building projects through design stages
Additional criteria for skills and competencies of Key Personnel:
Registered with the Zambia Institute of Architects (ZIA)
Minimum 8 years of experience in institutional/educational building design
Proficient in design development, documentation, and sustainable design principles
Qualified in architectural drafting
Skilled in 3D modeling and presentation tools (e.g., SketchUp, Lumion, V-Ray)
Experience in site supervision and design implementation
Able to ensure compliance and coordinate with construction teams
Ability to create compelling visualizations and design presentations
Skilled in design leadership, regulatory compliance, and multi-disciplinary coordination
