Job Description
Sheladia Associates is seeking a professional Environmentalist to join our team for upcoming Project Implementation Consultant for the Great North Road (T2) Upgrade project in Zambia, funded by EIB.
The overall objective of the Project is to improve the availability, quality, safety and resilience to climate change on the concerned road section, as well as providing safe conditions for traffic combinations between motorized vehicles, un-motorized vehicles and pedestrians.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, in Environmental Sciences such as Geography, Biology, Natural Resources Management or any related field.
A post-graduate qualification in environmental sciences /relevant field will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in environmental management that relate to the transport sector, including 5 years in sub–Saharan Africa.
Minimum experience of 5 years in preparation of ESIA documents and monitoring of environmental compliance on similar projects.
Should be fluent in written and spoken English and be fully computer literate.
