About the Role: Engineering Services Lead Jobs in Lusaka

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Engineering Services Lead will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of engineering projects and maintenance programs. The role demands a proactive leader who ensures asset integrity, enforces contractor governance, and maintains disciplined execution across all engineering activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the engineering team to achieve operational excellence.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize asset reliability.
• Ensure engineering projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Authorize work only when budgets are approved, scopes are clearly defined, and contracts and purchase orders are valid.
• Manage contractor relationships, ensuring all engagements have proper approvals and compliance.
• Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and safe work systems.
• Control engineering budgets with a focus on cost-effectiveness and financial discipline.
• Provide regular reports on project progress, capital expenditures, and maintenance performance.
• Promote continuous improvement in engineering processes and execution standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is mandatory.
• At least 7 years of relevant engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Proven expertise in project execution, contractor management, and maintenance of industrial or infrastructure assets.
• Experience in oil marketing, energy, construction, or industrial sectors is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of contract management, cost control, and engineering governance.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and asset/maintenance management tools.
• Exceptional leadership, planning, and stakeholder management capabilities.
