Adroit Engineering Construction Ltd – Zambia

Adroit Engineering Construction Limited, a growing and dynamic construction company, is looking for a highly motivated and skilled Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be a dedicated professional with strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in construction site operations.

1.    Position: Engineer

Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in a construction industry

Employment Type: Full- Time

Location: Lusaka and should be flexible to travel to different towns for projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily site operations to ensure works are carried out according to project specifications and standards.

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.

• Monitor project progress and prepare site reports.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies on site.

• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients for smooth project execution.

• Interpret construction drawings and provide technical guidance to the site team.

• Oversee material usage, quality control, and site measurements.

• Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.

• Resolve technical issues and propose practical solutions.

• Conduct inspections and ensure workmanship meets required quality standards

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

•Must be a Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia EIZ.

• Must be Professional engineer with Valid Practicing License.

• Strong knowledge of construction processes and site management.

• Proficient in BOQ preparation, measurement, and contract documentation.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

• Computer literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD or related engineering software).

2.    Position: Engineer Intern

Location: Lusaka and should be flexible to move to different towns when needed

Experience Required: At least 1 year of practical experience in a construction or engineering environment

Employment Type: Internship (Full-time)

Key Responsibilities:

·      Assist in supervising site activities under the guidance of senior engineers

·      Participate in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and basic cost estimates

·      Assist with measurement of works and preparation of site reports

·      Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities

·      Help interpret drawings and provide technical support to site teams

·      Assist in monitoring material usage and maintaining quality control records

·      Participate in ensuring safety compliance on site

·      Conduct basic inspections and report findings to the supervising engineer

·      Carry out any other duties as assigned to support project delivery

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering

 Must be affiliate of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)

·      Atleast1 year experience in construction projects (attachment, internship, or junior role)

·      Basic understanding of construction processes and site management

·      Ability to read and understand engineering drawings

·      Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced construction environment

·       Strong communication skills and good teamwork abilities

·      Computer literacy (MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage)
